I approach the art of spiritual direction as a prayerful and meditative practice.  Spiritual direction provides a sacred time and space to delve beneath the surface of everyday life experience, to witness the deeper yearnings of a directee’s spiritual journey.

Both individual and group spiritual direction sessions are occasions for contemplative listening: hearing the sacred stories of a person who is seeking to attune to the presence of the holy and transcendent in one’s life.

I work with clergy and lay directees from diverse multi-faith settings and spiritual practices, and with persons who are not affiliated with a particular tradition.  I am wholeheartedly open and affirming of gay, lesbian, bi and transgendered persons.

I currently serve as Director of Adult Formation Ministries at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church in Tucson, Arizona, and on the faculty of the Hesychia School for Spiritual Direction.  I also lead workshops and retreats in diverse ecumenical and interfaith settings.
